The Essence
Al-Mudhill is the One who humbles and disgraces the arrogant and oppressive. When someone turns away from truth out of pride, Al-Mudhill strips them of their false honor, exposing their ultimate reliance on Him.
In the Quran
تُعِزُّ مَنْ تَشَاءُ وَتُذِلُّ مَنْ تَشَاءُ
"You honor whom You will and You humble (Tudhill) whom You will. (Surah Ali 'Imran 3:26)"
In Your Duas
يَا مُذِلُّ أَذِلَّ أَعْدَاءَ الدِّينِ وَأَذِلَّ نَفْسِي لِعَظَمَتِكَ
"O Mudhill, humble the oppressors and make my own ego submissive and humble before Your supreme majesty."
