The Essence
Al-Khaafid is the One who lowers and brings down the arrogant, the oppressors, and the disobedient. He humbles those who possess destructive pride, proving that true elevation comes only from Him.
In the Quran
خَافِضَةٌ رَافِعَةٌ
"Bringing down [some] (Khaafidah) and elevating [others]. (Surah Al-Waqi'ah 56:3)"
In Your Duas
يَا خَافِضُ اخْفِضْ نَفْسِي عَنِ التَّكَبُّرِ
"O Khaafid (Abaser), humble my ego, remove arrogance from my heart, and bring down the plots of the oppressors."
