The Essence
As-Samad is the Eternal Refuge. He is the ultimate goal to whom all creations turn in their times of need. He needs absolutely nothing, but everything in existence absolutely needs Him.
In the Quran
اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ
"Allah, the Eternal Refuge (As-Samad). (Surah Al-Ikhlas 112:2)"
In Your Duas
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَنَّكَ أَنْتَ اللَّهُ الأَحَدُ الصَّمَدُ الَّذِي لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ
"O Allah, I ask You by virtue of the fact that You are Allah, the One, the Eternal Refuge, who neither begets nor is born, and there is none comparable unto Him."
