The Essence
Al-Muhaymin is the Guardian, the Overseer, and the Protector who watches over all of creation. He knows every detail of our lives, hidden and apparent, and protects our deeds from being lost.
In the Quran
وَأَنْزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ مُصَدِّقًا لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَمُهَيْمِنًا عَلَيْهِ
"And We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth, confirming that which preceded it of the Scripture and as a criterion (Muhaymin) over it. (Surah Al-Ma'idah 5:48)"
In Your Duas
يَا مُهَيْمِنُ احْفَظْنِي بِحِفْظِكَ
"O Muhaymin (Protector), guard me with Your protection and watch over my affairs, for You are the best of guardians."
