The Essence
Al-Mu'akhkhir is the One who delays, pushes back, or postpones. If something is delayed in a believer's life—like marriage, a job, or relief—it is only because Al-Mu'akhkhir has perfectly timed it for their ultimate benefit.
In the Quran
وَمَا نُؤَخِّرُهُ إِلَّا لِأَجَلٍ مَعْدُودٍ
"And We do not delay it (Nu'akhkhiruhu) except for a limited term. (Surah Hud 11:104)"
In Your Duas
اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي مَا قَدَّمْتُ وَمَا أَخَّرْتُ
"O Allah, forgive me for what I have sent forward and what I have delayed (left behind)."
