The Essence
Al-Hafeedh is the ultimate Guardian and Preserver. He protects the heavens and the earth from collapsing, He preserves the Quran from alteration, and He guards the believers from physical and spiritual harm.
In the Quran
فَاللَّهُ خَيْرٌ حَافِظًا ۖ وَهُوَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ
"But Allah is the best guardian (Haafiz), and He is the most merciful of the merciful. (Surah Yusuf 12:64)"
In Your Duas
يَا حَفِيظُ احْفَظْنِي مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيَّ وَمِنْ خَلْفِي وَعَنْ يَمِينِي وَعَنْ شِمَالِي وَمِنْ فَوْقِي
"O Hafeedh (Preserver), protect me from before me, from behind me, from my right, from my left, and from above me."
