The Essence
Al-Ghaniyy is the fully Self-Sufficient One. He possesses all wealth and needs absolutely nothing from His creation. Our worship does not increase His wealth, and our sins do not decrease it.
In the Quran
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَنْتُمُ الْفُقَرَاءُ إِلَى اللَّهِ ۖ وَاللَّهُ هُوَ الْغَنِيُّ الْحَمِيدُ
"O mankind, you are those in need of Allah, while Allah is the Free of need (Al-Ghaniyy), the Praiseworthy. (Surah Fatir 35:15)"
In Your Duas
اللَّهُمَّ أَكْفِنِي بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ، وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ
"O Allah, suffice me with what You have made lawful over what You have made unlawful, and enrich me (Aghnini) with Your grace so that I need no one other than You."
