The Essence
Al-Barr is the profound source of all goodness, kindness, and devotion. His goodness encompasses all creation. He keeps His promises and multiplies the rewards of those who do good.
In the Quran
إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْبَرُّ الرَّحِيمُ
"Indeed, it is He who is the Beneficent (Al-Barr), the Merciful. (Surah At-Tur 52:28)"
In Your Duas
يَا بَرُّ ارْزُقْنِي الْبِرَّ وَالتَّقْوَى
"O Source of Goodness (Barr), bless me with righteousness and God-consciousness."
